Social Work Specialist

The incumbent provides psychosocial support to individuals, families and groups within the practice and legislative frameworks, in order to protect and improve the social well-being and functioning of individuals, families and communities.

Research Specialist

An employee in this class is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing and conducting of programmes of research into areas related to the functioning of the social sector and in accordance with the objectives of the Minister of Culture and Community Development.

Mediator

The incumbent will be responsible for providing community based mediation services to individuals, families and groups within applicable legislation in order to encourage and support peace conflict management in families, communities and organisations.

Mediating Assistant

This position is vital to the operations of each Community Mediation Centre and the Community Mediation Programme in general. The incumbent facilitates the mediation process by advising clients presenting at the centre on available services of the Agency or other agencies to treat with the concerns and needs of the client as they are assessed by the Coordinator.

Manager - CMSD

The incumbent will be required to manage the day to day affairs of the Mediation Centre and its sub centres in the provision of mediation services. The incumbent is also expected to implement the policy of the Community Mediation Programme and ensure that the operations of the Main and sub centres within the region are successful.

Intake Officer

This job requires the incumbent to receive and assess clients in sub-centers remote to the main center. The incumbent is also required to collate statistical data on matters mediated upon and cases referred for mediation for timely submission to the Coordinating Assistant.

Executive Director

The Executive Director serves as chief executive of the Community Mediation Programme and is responsible for the success of the Programme. The incumbent ensures that the Community Mediation Programme is relevant to the national strategic objectives as articulated in the stated policies of the government, and, to the sustainable development of families and communities.
