Fire Fighter

3 G.C.E. O'Level/C.X.C. (General Proficiency) subjects including English Language.
Certificate of Fire Technology from the Fire Service Training College.
Certification for relevant specialised role.
0 - 2 years experience depending on specialised role.

Successful completion of examination conducted by the Public Commission for promotion to the level of Fire Sub Officer.
Certification in relevant specialised role.
4 years experience as a Firefighter including 2 years in relevant specialsed role.

Successful completion of examination conducted by the Public Service Commission for promotion to the level of Fire Sub Station Officer.
Certification in relevant specialised role.
7 years experience in the Fire Service including 3 years in relevant specialisation including 2 years as a Fire Sub Officer.

National Technician's Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Successful completion of examination conducted by the Public Service Commission for promotion to the level of Fire Station Officer.
10 years in the Fire Service including 5 years experience repairing Fire Service vehicles and equipment and 2 years as Fire Sub Station Officer.

Successful completion of examination conducted by the Public Service Commission for promotion to the level of Fire Station Officer.
In-Service course certification for relevant specialised role.
10 years in the Fire Service including 5 years experience in relevant specialised role and 2 years as Fire Sub Station Officer.

Successful completion of examinations conducted by the Public Service Commission for promotion to the First Division of the Fire Service.
In-Service course certification for relevant specialised role.
At least 15 years experience in the Fire Service with 2 - 5 years at the level of Divisional Fire Officer.

Successful completion of examination conducted by the Public Service Commission for promotion to the First Division of the Fire Service.
International Command and Fire Prevention Course (12 weeks).
In-service certification in relevant specialised role.
14 years experience in the Fire Service including 6 years performing relevant work in the fire service and 2 years as an Assistant Divisional Fire Officer.

Successful completion of the examination conducted by the Public Service Commission for the promotion to the First Division of the Fire Service.
In-service senior management level training or equivalent.
Divisional Command Course (14 weeks) or equivalent e.g. Morton Marsh (U.K.).
At least 15 years experience in the Fire Service with 5 years at the level of Divisional Fire Officer.

Successful completion of examination conducted by the Public Service Commission for promotion to the First Division of the Fire Service.
Brigade Command Course (such as that offered at Morton and Marsh (UK) or equivalent.
16 years experience in the Fire Service including at least 6 years at a senior managerial/administrative level.

Successful completion of examination conducted by the Public Service Commission for promotion to the First Division of the Fire Service.
Possession of a first degree from a recognized University in the social sciences or Membership Diploma of the Institution of Fire Engineers.
Brigade Command Course (17 weeks) (such as that offered at the Fire Service College, Morton and Marsh (UK).
17 years experience in the Fire Service including at least 7 years at a senior managerial/administrative level.
