Ministry of Health

The Director is responsible and accountable for managing the clinical and operational functions of the Directorate of Women's Health. The incumbent is expected to provide technical operational oversight to the Directorate of Women's Health and serve as the Ministry of Health's focal person for all maternal and neonatal issues.

The Director, Mental Health is responsible for policy formulation, strategic leadership, technical direction, management, coordination and evaluation of the national programmes for Mental Health.

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the Ministry of Health meets its obligations in respect of the implementation of international and regional agreements and protocols.

Performs community nursing in homes and out-patient clinics.

To develop and implement a coherent monitoring and evaluation plan and system to track the performance, effectiveness and impact of the Health Sector HIV/AIDS response.

The incumbent has responsibility for a specialized work including supervisory responsibilities in the field of Drug Demand Reduction with emphasis on the formulation and implementation of Social Programmes/projects in the area of Drug Demand
Reduction.

The incumbent has responsibility for the development and co-ordination of drug demand reduction social sector policies, projects and programmes that are culturally relevant, economically viable and sustainable.

Giving support to the Senior Clinical Auditor, Epidemiology in monitoring and evaluating the quality of care delivered by clinicians in public health institutions.

Collaborates with the Quality Systems Auditor to monitor and evaluate the quality of care related to women’s health delivered by clinicians in public health institutions.

Performs general clerical duties for the Internal Audit Division in compliance with Ministry’s policies and procedures.
