Responsible for managing routine mortuary functions, including handling and storing corpses, assisting with autopsies, and maintaining the mortuary facility.

This job requires the incumbent to repair and service electrical systems and equipment in Fire Service vehicles to ensure effective functioning. Functions include responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional cover as required.

This job requires the incumbent to maintain all Breathing Apparatus sets and equipment in serviceable condition. Functions include giving talks and demonstrations on Breathing Apparatus and Breathing Apparatus procedures, and keeping records of the Breathing Apparatus sets and related equipment. Functions also include responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional cover as required.

This job requires the incumbent to provide firefighting, fire prevention, and other emergency services to communities within the geographical area of a specific fire station. Functions include conducting checks and tests on fire service appliances and equipment, conducting familiarization visits to factories and institutions, inspecting fire hydrants within station ground, and updating records and maintaining a filing system for the station.

This job requires the incumbent to conduct investigations into fires occurring within an assigned Division and to inspect business premises to ensure that fire prevention and protection systems are adequate. Functions include sketching floor plans, supervising the transportation of explosives, writing reports, and compiling statistics on incidents occurring within the Division and responding to fires and other incidents.

This job requires the incumbent to respond promptly to emergencies such as fires, accidents, and natural disasters to provide first aid and emergency care to injured persons. Functions include assisting in the rescue of trapped persons, administering first aid to casualties, and providing adequate transport of injured persons to health care institutions.

This job requires the incumbent to provide fire prevention, firefighting, and other emergency services at the Airport and its environs. Functions include supervising the removal of aircraft fuel spills and inspecting the Aerodrome to ensure adherence to fire prevention regulations. Functions also include performing routine maintenance checks and tests on Fire Service appliances, equipment, and fire kits.

This job requires the incumbent to coordinate and supervise the operations of the Wireless Section responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of wireless communication and electronic equipment in the Fire Service. Functions include diagnosing and conducting more complex repairs, supervising, and participating in the provision of instruction in the use of wireless communication to Fire Service personnel.

This job requires the incumbent to assist in the supervision of the day-to-day activities of staff in the Water Section. Functions include conducting investigations into damaged hydrants, monitoring the cleaning and servicing of pump-houses by private contractors, and reviewing water reticulation plans and the accompanying comments of staff in respect of fire safety requirements.
