RESEARCH ASSISTANT II

Responsible technical work assisting in socio-economic research. An employee in this class collects data to provide information for research work in programmes of social, industrial, or educational development. Work involves conducting field surveys as directed to collect, compile, and collate data for presentation to a superior, and assisting in the analysis of the same. Work assignments are received from a technical/professional superior in the relevant field and are performed with considerable initiative within the limits of specific methods and procedures. Work is reviewed through observations, discussions, and an examination of information presented.
